The Human Resources division is dedicated to providing our applicants and employees with a positive experience in the hiring process and in the workplace.  To accomplish this mission we partner with the Department of Public Health leadership to maximize the potential of our greatest asset–our employees. Human Resources Units:

There are five units within Human Resources.  The Merit unit does the exams.  The Labor unit works with the unions and management.  The Payroll unit process pay.  The Cultural Competency unit works on employee relations and cultural awareness.  And, the Operations unit processes new employees.  The manager of the Operations unit at SFGH is Karen Hill.  The manager of the Operations unit for the other areas is Cathy Abela.
